So I was hanging around at Activ8’s Military Night event yesterday….literally.

I decided that I really needed to get a blog up since the last one was on Saturday but all be darned if it’s not just one thing after another at my house and trying to pry some free time away from the masses in order to swing into SL for an hour is just insane. However, yesterday, I finally locked myself in my room and dived into SL with 30 minutes to spare before the 10-1 event ended. Whew! As always, the host for the Wednesday event was Lethal March, and Chrome Magne was djing. Felizitaz Loon was the dancer for the event.

I remember the first time I went to an Activ8 military event. I had the WORST time finding anything to wear. Perhaps it was that I was just too new to SL shopping and wasn’t looking in the right places, but I suspect that it’s more that there wasn’t near as much military stuff out there as there is now. Looking around I saw some great outfits, and I’m tempted to say that I don’t think there were 2 people alike. It was pretty darn nifty. ^_^

1982 - A groundbreaking ceremony for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is held in Washington, DC. In honor of those who’ve served in all military’s, we’ll be donning the uniforms and hanging in the pub!

March 27 - Boots, Boots, and more Boots!

Shoes can make or break an outfit and no shoes say more things than BOOTS! High boots, low boots, bright boots, black, chunky, slinky, sexy….pull on your favorites and show them off! We’ll be at the club for this one.

March 28 - NQ Live Event

…I honestly don’t know. lol I’ll find out! I promise!

Ok.  Today’s event is the beach event, but from 6-9 SLT there’s a LIVE EVENT SCHEDULED!  Woohoo!  Those are always fun so be sure you come by!

Hello duckies! I have finally found a moment to blog! Whatever I had appears to still be lingering slightly, and while I had wanted to post to you all earlier, it seems that when I was finally well enough to return you to your regularly scheduled Activ8 viewing…my kids went and caught whatever I had! It’s been a rough few days, but I’m back and will try my best-est to keep things steady for the next while. ^^

My return to Second Life had me dropping in on the club for the Vegas event. Unfortunately SL chose this day to initiate ‘project grey people everywhere’ so I wasn’t able to get pictures of as many people as I had hoped. The suggestion was made that perhaps I could just use photoshop and color in the grey people…but lets be honest. We’ve all seen my lover-ly Saturday photoshopped pictures, so in this care I think the best we all could hope for would be something like this…

Now clearly this wouldn’t exactly be fitting for this blog would it? ~_o

Lethal March was the buoyant and beautiful host for the afternoon event at the club, with Ms. Ambrosia Paine (accompanied by one Mr. Ossie Fotherington in shown image), was the graceful and gorgeous dancer, and last but not least was Chrome Magne looking terribly terrific as a tame tiger. (Yes I’m quite sure I could have gotten a few more ‘T’ words in there had I tried hard enough. heehee)

Dancing around and between our lovely staff were many a quaint and curious VIPS. I do believe there were a few high rollers looking all nice and polished in their Vegas best. From flashy to fashionable to just plain fun, conversation hopped here, there and everywhere. Intermingled with talk I saw several couldn’t resist the chance to rub the tiger tummy or pull at a peacocks tail.

But of course let’s not leave out our big winners for the night! Walking away with 700L in first place was Ms. Sequoia Mathilde!

In second place with 300L was Cyrus Oppewall! …who..regretfully I was not able to get and picture of before he vanished. I’m sure he looked darn spiffy though!

So that’s it for now. It was nice to be back at the club and all the huggles I received made me feel all warm and cozy inside. You should come by! Huggles are well worth a trip to Activ8. ^^

Hey all you hep cats and hip chics! If you weren’t at the club on Tuesday, ow! The joint was jumpin! We had Carrie on the airwaves playin a hard jam, Ms. Asilwen Aubret cuttin the rug, and yours truly runnin the show. Yeah man, it was a solid time with the crew!

Hoooowdy pard’ners! We’re havin a good ‘ol fashioned hoedown here at Activ8 today! We’ll be meetin an greetin at the Activ8 corral so grab yer dancin boots and join in on the fun! It’ll be a barn-raisin good time!

March 15 - TranceQuilizer
From barn-raisin to shaking down the walls with high doses of heavy beats, join us at the club for a trance event! Electrifying tunes to keep you shaking and moving, you won’t want it to end!

We interupt your daily reading to bring you the following urgent announcment. Active8 has been INVADED BY ALIENS! The Bureau of Extraterrestrial Investigation allowed us a brief overview and some photographic evidence for this post.

They arrived from all across the galaxy by the dozens. No one knows where they came from, but it seems this one is their leader. Sources tell us she sent out a ‘notice’ and that’s when they started arriving.

Their leader seemed to be accompanied by another strange creature that provided music for the arriving visitors, which they all seemed to enjoy and in fact requested other sounds they would like to hear via some form of mental telepathy.

Last in this trio seemed to be yet ANOTHER being that showed all the others how to move their limbs in time with the sounds.

Sources also say that while all of these invaders looked as different from one to the next as possible, it seems they were all able to speak our language. Places of origin have yet to be determined, and the BoEI declined any answer to the questions we asked regarding interrogation of the aliens.

Though some of these creatures seem rather terrifying at first glance, the BoEI assured us that they had come in peace, and where only here ‘to party and win linden’. At the end of this strange party, a cheer arose as the leader of the crew announced, it seemed, two winners.

The one they called ‘Neco Auer’ apparently won 700 of these ‘lindens’….

…and one they called ‘Imandra Wycliffe’ won 300 ‘lindens’.

Overall it seemed to be a fun time with much chatter and a lengthy discussion of ‘pop versus soda’. I have to say that this close encounter was definitely exciting, and certainly worth looking in to. I’m told also that more strange events like this happen at this club daily from 10-1, 2-5, and 7-10. Tune in here daily for more information.

What better event to have at a castle than a medieval event? Tuesday’s event was all about the days of kings, queens, princes, and princess’ being rescued by brave knights. *insert a wistful sigh here* Though the male equation was in slightly more demand than their counterparts, that didn’t put much of a damper on the spirits of those there. If nothing else, we were able to talk about some great shopping places for gowns. ^^

CarrieAnn Nurmi made a triumphant return as our DJ for the 10-1 event after computer problems that had her down for a few weeks. YAY Carrie! We missed you.

Making her second appearance as a new dancer for Activ8 was Felizitaz Loon who had people up and shaking it through the event.

And as usual, yours truly was the hostess for the afternoon.

Things started out a bit quiet at the event, though chatter in the VIP group seemed to be making up for that as people tossed around ideas on where to get some garb. As the minutes ticked however, more and more popped into existence and we all had a good time oooo-ing and ahhhhh-ing over dresses and armor and kingly fashions.

At voting time, it was a hard call for me to pick my personal favorite simply because everyone looked gorgeous (and handsome to you men folk), but at votes end 2 winners were announced. 700L went to the beauty in black, Ms. Tarajane Darwin.

…and 300L went to the golden goddess KaiLeen Destiny.

Ahh…like cookies and milk, toast and jam, and peanut butter and onions….so too does leather go wonderfully with lace. On Saturday evening as I was working on this that and the other thing, Ladifrog Frog felt so inclined to throw a couple of photos my way. They looked like this:

This is a picture of Selanna Mayako, Ambrosia Paine, Ossie Fortherington, and Katura Kamachi and as it so appears, they were having a FANTABULOUS time. My guess is Ossie even more so than the others. ~_o Along with these pictures, I received an IM from Ladi who declared that the event was a blast and I should come by. Seeing as the party was hoppin and she went so far as to give me photographic evidence of the festivities, I grabbed my leather trench and hopped a tp down to the castle.

Yes! I slipped in just in time to hear some awesome swing music come across the airwaves by DJ Roguewolf who was taking requests and rocking the party!

Along with our usuals, we had some new people show up for the event. They informed us that they were literally roaming the SL world and happened to stumble upon our shindig and decided to hang out for a bit. All are welcome at Activ8 as we go by the phrase, “The more the merrier!”

Unfortunately I had had a very long day and this event, the 7-10, ends at 1am my time and that’s just a bit too late for lil ‘ol me when I was up late the previous night. With that thought, I asked Ms. Ladi if she could kindly IM me the winners at events end and here’s the results!

March 3 - Bad Hair Day

Oooo…don’t you just hate it when good hair goes bad? Maybe you modded it too much? Maybe it just didn’t seem to look THAT bad in the picture…or the demo threw you for a loop cause it was 5 different colors. Whatever the reason, dig up that awful hair cause TODAY you have an excuse to wear it! Have a bad hair day with us at the club!

March 4 - Medieval night

Kings, queens, princes, princesses….paupers and maybe dragons? I dunno, but if it’s in medieval themed, it qualifies for this event. We’ll be having this one in the perfect setting, the castle! Yay!!

March 5 - This Day in History - Space and Aliens

In 1979, Voyager hit it’s 1’s closest approach to Jupiter at 172,000 miles. Whew! That’s really out there! Though Voyager didn’t encounter any aliens, at this event you’re bound to run into one or two or more! Come check out the club and have a spacey good time.

March 6 - PJ Party

Ahhhh…this is one of those days to literally hop out of bed and hop down to the club. Who needs daytime clothes when pj’s are SO much more comfy? And besides, when else are you going to show off those duck footed jammies your best buddy gave you for Christmas 3 years ago that you’ve never worn? ~_o

March 7 - Beach Party!!

Whooooo!!! Winters ending and Spring is right around the corner! It’s time to bust out those bathing suits, grab the suntan lotion, and hurry down to Tikki Beach!

March 8 - Goth For You

Sometimes we have to let our darker sides show and this event is all about that little goth in you! We’ll be hanging at the castle for this one so be sure to grab that pale skin and dark make up, and join us for a morbidly good time!
